NOT YOUR AVERAGE PET SITTERS

DOG CARE WITH A PURPOSE

At Barking Down the Aisle, we do more than watch your dog—we make sure they’re part of the celebration.

We’re Fredericton & Atlantic Canada's dedicated wedding dog attendant service, built for couples who want their pups included in one of life’s biggest moments. This isn’t just pet care—it’s a hands-on, heart-first service designed to make your dog feel comfortable, calm, and cared for in a high-energy wedding environment. We’re passionate about creating joyful, inclusive wedding experiences for all couples—regardless of gender, identity, or who you love.

Weddings can be overwhelming for even the most social dogs: new places, large crowds, loud music, and lots of excitement. That’s why we carefully plan every detail in advance—from travel and timing to potty breaks and photo ops—so your dog is set up for success and you can focus on soaking in the day.

We’re not here to take the spotlight—we’re here to make sure your pup shines in it.

What sets us apart? It’s our calm confidence around animals, our thoughtful approach to the big day, and our ability to blend in seamlessly with your team of vendors. We’re the kind of dog people who instantly make your pup feel at ease—and by the time your wedding arrives, we hope to feel like friends, not just another vendor.

Let us help you create paw-sitively unforgettable memories—with your dog right by your side.

Our Story

Barking Down the Aisle was born from one simple wish: to help couples include their beloved dogs in their wedding day—without the stress. After experiencing firsthand how hard it was to balance celebrating and caring for a pup, we knew there had to be a better way. We’re here to make sure your furry family member is part of the memories, while you enjoy every moment with peace of mind.

Sarah, Founder & Dog of Honour Coordinator

Hi, I’m Sarah—dog lover, people person, and the founder of Barking Down the Aisle, Atlantic Canada’s first wedding pet attendant service.

The inspiration for this business came straight from my own wedding. We had our dog walk down the aisle with a friend, but after the ceremony, we had no choice but to send her home. It made us genuinely sad that she couldn’t be there for more of the day—she’s part of our family, and we wanted her to be part of our memories too.

That moment stuck with me, and I realized we weren’t the only ones. So I created Barking Down the Aisle to help couples like us—who love their dogs and want them included in the biggest moments without the stress of managing them during the day.

While I don’t come from a background in weddings or dog training, I bring warmth, reliability, and a true love for animals. My goal is to help your dog be part of your story, while you and your loved ones stay focused on celebrating.

Let’s make your day paw-fect—for you and your pup.

Ashley, Dog of Honour Specialist - Moncton

Hi, I’m Ashley—and I’m so excited to be supporting couples and their dogs in the Moncton area as part of the Barking Down the Aisle team!

I’ve always loved being around animals, and that love only grew while working at a dog daycare for over a year. I’ve completed Canine Coach training and have hands-on experience caring for dogs with all kinds of needs and personalities. Making dogs feel comfortable and happy is something I take seriously—and with a lot of heart.

Outside of weddings, I’m studying Nutrition at Université de Moncton and love staying active and spending time outdoors (especially when a pup joins the adventure!). I’m also bilingual, which helps me connect with more couples across New Brunswick.

I’m here to help make sure your dog is part of your special day—without stress or worry—so you can stay focused on celebrating every moment.
